A Great Success

Hi everybody, sorry I haven't made any entries in a few days, really my only excuse is that I just didn't feel like it. I took Friday off and stayed home watching Matrix Reloaded and all the suplemental DVD stuff.

The Fundraiser was a huge success - there must have been close to 300 people there, and I'm sure a hefty sum was raised (though no offical tally yet). Kudos to Adam H. for putting together such an amazing event in such little time. There were lots of great bands, including Thor - and I finally got to keep his 'Hunk 'o' Steel... he bends an iron bar in his mouth every show and gives the Hunk 'o' Steel to someone in the audience. I also was the highest bidder on the grand prize at the silent auction, a full week stay in a Cancun honeymoon suite - so I'm looking forward to that!

All in all, I think it was a bigger success than anyone had anticipated - David sure has a lot of friends! Thanks everyone!

hey hey... yah that was a heck of an event... it was totally packed and i didn't see you there, even, but i only stuck around for about 1/2 an hour (between 11:50 and 12:20 ish)... some of us still had to get up at 5 am to make it to work...

Hey - I didn't see you either!
Who was playing when you came in? If it was Thor, I was right up front... otherwise I was either checking out my bid at the silent auction, buying a beer, or sitting in the very back with Wayne.

i'm not sure who was on when i was there.. they finished up and i was there for another 5 minutes before i finished my drink and made the "another drink? another 40 minutes of precious sleep?" decision and bailed.. i actually saw a grand total of zero people that i knew... i pretty much showed up, ordered a drink, did a perimeter search for any familiar faces, figured anyone i knew would be in bed by then, leaned against a wall, sipped my vodka & soda and bailed... it was totally packed in there and i was a little hot & sweaty from rehearsal and 1/2 soaked from the trip down (the 1/2 that wasn't in my leather jacket) so i called it a night... looked like everyone was having a really good time, though!
