Music breaks for Music

Ah, another eventful weekend. It's good to be back to work so I can wind down... well, until tonight anyway, when the band starts recording a new EP.
Thursday, instead of rehearsing with the cover band, Carole and I went to the Linkin Park concert - with guests Hoobastank, P.O.D., and Story of the Year. It was a great concert, at the Pacific Coliseum - we were definitely in the oldest one percent of attendants, but it was a good concert none the less.

Friday, I dodged our last Scarecorw Balcony rehearsal before recording (tonight) in order to go to Richards on Richards and see Stabilo and Pilate. Both good Canadian bands with songs on the radio.

Then there was Saturday - Valentines day. Carole and I first went for a great four course dinner at Port Moody's finest (yeah, sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it - but it was great!) - I had portabello stuffed philo, and shark - very good stuff.
Carole had a walnut and pesto chicken that was amazing. After dinner we headed back into town for the 3rd night in a row, this time to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum. They had a Valentine's tribute to Italian composers, and it was really a great night.

Sunday I took it easy - well, I worked all day, but it was for play. I started making liqueurs at about 11AM and by dusk I had made a bottle of strawberry cream liqueur, a bottle of tequilla, a bottle of whiskey, and a very special bottle of Absinthe for my good friend Sage, who has helped me out so much with the website and stickers and screen printing. It's a surprise though, so don't tell him!
