Ah... instant gratification

There's really nothing like a little fishing trip on Blog Lake to fill your basket full of validation is there... I didn't even have to grovel.
Thanks everyone, for letting me know you're still alive, and that I should act that way too. ;-)

So its a hot day today, and it's going to be smokin' hot tomorrow - I'm SUPPOSED to be spending this evening in my basement studio tracking a couple new songs, but I've already made up my mind to bail on that and spend the remaining daylight hours at the lake. LOL, I guess that's kind of an inside joke for people in Vanocuver right now, what with sunset being at 9:22PM tonight, and dusk turning to evening shortly after 10 right now. Yup, these are the long days of spring, and we're only 5 days away from the solstice, when it all turns around and the days start getting shorter again. Sigh....

Anyway, baby steps... I'm getting back into the blog slowly - maybe too slowly, but geez, no pressure guys!!!

the sun sets here on sunday at 9:08pm
strange that your getting sunsets at 9:22pm....you must be that farther down...or closer to the time line change...perhaps...what a gip

No - farther 'up' actually.... the more north you go, the longer the summer days get, and the shorter the winter days get.

If you recall my entry last September where my brother and I drove up to Alaska for one day (just tyo say we've been there, to get Hyderized, and to see the glacier) I remarked at how when we were walking back from dinner to the hotel and saw that the sun was setting, I looked at my watch, and it was something like 10:45!
Apparently only a few hours north of there is where "The Land of the Midnight Sun" starts.

I just checked it out on the map... do you know of Anticosti Island, directly north of P.E.I, just before Quebec? Vancouver's at the exact same latitude, amazingly enough... and YOU'RE the once that get icebergs! Go figure!
