it was $84, from a Timber company that he owns...
Here's the facts : On Bush's income tax form, he claimed under the "Timber Revenue" column, $84 in income - however, the added description said "oil and gas revenue" ... so either he made a mistake in picking the column, or a mistake in the description.... but regardless of whether it was timber, or oil/gas revenue, the point remains that Bush then used the "small business" loophole (since he earned revenue as a small business, regardless or how little) to get himself that great new tax break that only small business owners that make over $200,000 a year can aply for. TRUE, over 99.99% of his income that year was NOT small business income, but the fact remains ... that $84 provided him a loophole to save over $138,000 in taxes.
How American of him.

Whoah! Different Subject, but I just realized that a blog entry I wrote a month ago (9/12) was still marked as 'draft'... I never published it - by accident, I'm assuming - so if ya care, check it out ... I think it was called "weekend update part 2"

LOL!!! There were so many funny (but also scarey...I'm sure you know what I mean) bits in these debates. I still can't get over when he called the terrorists a "group of folks" (sorry I can't show the accompanying accent). Then last night he was referring to another group...this time a nice group of people and he once again called them "a group of folks". I couldn't believe my ears! It just goes on and on...

Well, my favorite Bushism of all time has to be from the State of the Nation address after 9/11 when he said "These evil evil-doers of evil must be punished!"
Though the ultimate in hillarity has GOT to be:
"We have a saying in Texas, though I... though I think it's in Tennessee, too... but it's in Texas... but anyway... Fool me once *pause*, shame on...um, shame on me. Fool me *pause* twice... *gives up* well you can't fool me again!"

well, should (ship forbid) kerry lose, i have written his concession speech for him:
"Attention Americans,
If, after watching this moron run this country into the ground for the last 4 years, after watching me annihilate him in 3 consecutive debates, and after watching fahrenheit 911, the majority of you STILL wanted to see him comandeer this sinking ship into yet more icebergs, I have only this to say to you: Fuck you, my billionaire wife and I are moving to Vancouver."
