Temp: 24 degrees
Another nice sunny day, but the bite seems to be back in the air again. I hate to say it, but it's kinda nice not getting sweaty everytime you go outside, yet still being able to catch some good sun - it's a nice compromise.
I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon, so I got out of work early, and after getting home, had an extra hour to veg-out. I harvested some sage, chives, and strawberries from the back yard and played a bit of online poker.
Speaking of sage, I'll tell ya, there just aren't enough recipes that use sage to warrent the amount of sage I've got growing in the back yard - and that's not a bad thing... sage smells great, but I don't think it improves the taste of food too often - yet I find myself putting it in spagetti sauce, and on broiled chicken, and in soups, just to get rid of it! Yeah, this stuff grows way too fast - does anybody want a few punds of sage? If only dill and parsley would grow to be this bountiful.
Anyway, I digress. In the evening I went down to Future Shop to get some CD labeling suplies (yeah, looks like I'll be doing that project after all - but I'm trying to talk Carole into helping...), and while I was there noticed that the new Godsmack and Rob Zombie albums were both on for $9.99 - wow, that's pretty cheap for two new releases... so I bought 'em both.
I was also going to drop off a couple of CDs I had burned for my buddy Ron, but that got cenceled - so while I was in the area, I decided to drive through a neighbourhood that I'm not familiar with, just to check it out. It's called Citadel Heights and it's 'above' Mary Hill, and to the north of it. I had no idea how huge this area is, and I also had no idea there were so many big and nice properties up there... from the highway, Mary Hill looks like a zoo of townhomes stacked on top of each other, but behind that, there are some seriously gorgeous view properties with huge houses and decent sized yards... so I went home to google the listings, and sure enough the prices are the same as of on Westwood Plateau where we live, so no real benefit to moving there. It was still nice to discover a new place though.
The rest of the night, I spent ripping my two new CDs and getting the songs into iTunes and my MP3 player - which now, incidentally, has 3359 songs from 298 albums loaded on it... and still 10GB of free space!
