Temp: 26 degrees
After work today, I whipped home, got into my shorts and T-shirt, packed up the car, then left to go pick up Carole at work. After a hour fo hell (also known as Vancouver traffic) I made it there, and we headed to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
We're going to try something new this time ... instead of paying $50 each way to take the car across to Nanaimo, we're going to park in the long-term parking lot and walk on to the ferry... Walk-on rates are $11.75, and the parking for two and a half days is $34 - so if everything works out, I'll save about $60 to $70 ... plus gas.
Carole's mom and Brian picked us up on the other side, and drove us back to their place in Bowser, where we will be chillaxin' for the next two days.
Arrived at 9:30, just enough time for one beer...
